Third Street Writers

Third Street Writers is dedicated to promoting writing and literary arts in Laguna Beach and beyond. Our members are both well-established and new writers who come together to learn and celebrate the craft of writing. We provide opportunities to study, produce and showcase literature.

Third Street Writers sponsors a weekly writing workshop, public reading events and professional programs, produces annual publications/anthologies, and collaborates with community groups and businesses to share our collective stories. In January 2026, we hosted our inaugural Laguna Beach LitFest, a two-day literary festival featuring guest speakers and small-group workshops on a variety writing craft topics. Through our annual publications such as Art Inscribed (in conjunction with the Festival of Arts) and Holiday Digest (in conjunction with the Laguna Beach Independent), Third Street Writers creates a dynamic product to link with other artistic communities in Laguna Beach, Orange County and beyond.
